Cubana Chief Priest and the EFCC have reached a settlement outside of court.
The popular socialite and nightlife mogul, Cubana Chief Priest, made his appearance at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, for the continuation of his trial regarding alleged financial misconduct.
On April 16, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had levied a three-count charge against Pascal Okechukwu, accusing him of financial impropriety, reportedly committed during a social event where he was dancing.
Following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos the following day, Cubana Chief Priest pleaded not guilty to the charges. In response, the judge granted him bail set at N10 million, requiring two sureties to provide a similar amount.
The judge mandated that the bail conditions must be fulfilled within seven days, and subsequently postponed the case for further proceedings until May 2.
