Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has pledged swift justice following the tragic killing of three soldiers during an attack on a military checkpoint in the state.
In a statement released earlier today, Otti condemned the brutal act, describing it as a heinous crime against the nation’s security personnel. He extended his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and assured that no effort would be spared in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
“This senseless attack is an assault on our collective security and peace. Abia State will not tolerate such acts of violence,” the governor stated.
The attack, which occurred at a checkpoint in a yet-to-be-disclosed location, has raised concerns about the safety of security operatives in the state. While details remain sketchy, local authorities and military personnel have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible.
Governor Otti also called on residents to cooperate with security agencies and provide any information that could aid in the swift resolution of the case. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of all citizens and maintaining law and order across Abia State.
