The fifteen students who were abducted from the Qur’anic school in Sokoto State have been released.
It is remembered that these students were taken from Gidan Bakuso village in the Gada Local Government Area as they fled to their rooms during an assault on the community two weeks prior.
Liman Abubakar, the school’s proprietor, reported post-attack that the assailants shot an individual and kidnapped a woman during their incursion into the town.
He noted the possibility of additional abductions, although fifteen students remained unaccounted for at that time, with the count ongoing.
Abubakar detailed that the bandits attacked around 1 am, resulting in one person shot and a woman taken.
He recounted that as the bandits departed, they noticed students scrambling to their rooms and seized many of them.
Up to now, fifteen missing students have been tallied, and the search continues, he mentioned, as reported by Daily Trust.
