Senator representing Benue North Central District, Abba Moro, was on Tuesday named as the new Senate Minority Leader.
Senator Moro’s appointment was announced by Senator Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, on Tuesday at the plenary.
The emergence of the former Minister of Interior who is a four-time Senator followed the agreement of senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to zone the position to the North Central.
The PDP lawmakers believed that was important to allow fairness and equity in the leadership of the tenth Senate.
