Jose Peseiro, the Portuguese head coach of the Super Eagles, has recently broken his silence about his future in coaching.
After his contract with the Nigerian national football team expired following the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Peseiro received several job offers from various national teams and clubs.
His success in guiding the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire has made him an attractive candidate for several teams.
Although Peseiro has received up to seven job offers, he is currently focused on taking a break and has urged all interested parties to return to him at the end of the month.
He is keen on evaluating all proposals and projects offered to him and making a wise decision about his future.
In an interview with Goal, Peseiro revealed that he has been contacted by several national teams and clubs, but he needs to rest and take a break after his contract with the Super Eagles expired.
He stated that all options remain open, and he wants to choose his next project wisely.
The veteran coach said, “I received a lot of options and a lot of contacts from national teams or clubs. I would say 5, 6, or 7, but for now, I need to take a break and be calm. I let them all know that I need to rest and that when my contract expires I will talk about it and start thinking about other projects. And decide my future.”
Peseiro is currently evaluating all offers, listening to all proposals and projects, and will take his time before deciding his next move.
