A Jigawa state high court sitting presided by Justice Musa Ubale has convicted two underage boys of rape.
The judge stated that the prosecution counsel had been able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the convicts committed the offence.
Ubale also ordered the two convicts to be remanded at the reformatory home Kafin-Hausa.
According to judge, the prosecution counsel, M. A. Fagam provided the court 6 witnesses and 4 exhibits, including a medical report to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt.
The convicts, Ayuba Alkasim and Sale Muhammad, of Larabar-Zango town, Ajingi Local government area of Kano State, were found guilty of conspiring, ambushing and attacking one girl in the bush at Girindi-Jaka village of Buji Local government area, Jigawa State and raping her repeatedly.
Ubale said, “The court having found them guilty for the offence of rape, and seeing that they’re all minors coupled with their plea for leniency, the court orders them to be remanded at the reformatory home Kafin-Hausa on the Mercy of the Governor.”
