The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has unveiled the results of an extra 36,540 candidates who participated in the recently concluded 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This announcement follows the release of 531 results the previous week, bringing the total released results thus far to 1,879,437.
According to a statement from the board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, this release aims to ensure transparency and provide timely information to candidates.
Dismissing rumors circulating on social media, JAMB clarified that reports suggesting a compromise in the ongoing scrutiny of outstanding 2024 UTME results due to a cyber security breach are false.
The board emphasized that such claims are fabricated by fraudulent individuals seeking to deceive the public and cautioned against falling prey to such misinformation.
Furthermore, the board reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process, emphasizing that the results remain secure and inaccessible to unauthorized parties.

Regarding withheld results, JAMB disclosed that ongoing investigations into examination misconduct are progressing, with findings set to be published upon conclusion. The public is urged to remain vigilant and rely only on official communications from the board.
In the 2024 UTME, over 1.9 million candidates participated in the computer-based examination, with the majority scoring below 200 out of 400 obtainable marks. Only a small percentage of candidates achieved scores of 300 and above, highlighting the competitive nature of the examination.
