Usman Ododo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared as the winner of the Kogi State governorship election held on Saturday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in declaring Ododo said he scored 446,237 votes to defeat his other contenders.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Johnson Urama of the University of Nigeria, Nnsuka, announced the results at the INEC state collation centre in Lokoja, the state capital, on Sunday.
Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 46,362 votes while Hon. Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Party (ADP) got 21,819 votes.
