Senator Shehu Sani, has appealed to Nigerians to assist ailing actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, as he battles an ailment that may cost him his leg.
CRUX NEWS reported that the veteran comic thespian while celebrating his 62nd birthday from the hospital bed appealed to the general public to come to his aid in settling his medical bills.
Reacting via X on Thursday morning, Sani called on Nigerians to make collective efforts in ensuring the actor’s medical bill is settled, stressing that he “lights up and entertains the homes of millions of Nigerians.”
Describing the ailing actor as his favourite comedian, the former lawmaker promised to assist the comic star.
He wrote, “Mr Ibu is my favorite artist and Comedian.He lights up and entertains the homes of millions of Nigerians.We shall not let him down for reasons we can all collectively solve.We shall do the needful and also bring the attention of the big names to do the needful.”
