Halle Berry has expressed her displeasure towards Drake over his use of her image to promote his latest single with SZA.
The actress took to Instagram to post a message about being the bigger person in certain situations, shortly after Drake released “Slime You Out” on Friday.
In the comments section of her post, Halle criticized Drake for using a photo of her from the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, where she was famously slimed while sitting in her seat.
Drake used a close-up shot of the actress, with all the green ooze on her, as a cover image for the song on social media.
However, the official audio upload features alternative art.
Halle was not pleased with Drake’s use of her image without her permission and responded to a fan’s question by saying, “That’s not cool. I thought better of him!”
She added that when people she admires disappoint her, she has to be the bigger person and move on.
There were other comments made by the actress in response to people on her post, including one where she stated that the issue was about the principle of the matter, which may allude to the fact that she likely does not own the rights to the picture in question.
In addition to the use of her image, some have taken offence to the graphic nature of the song itself, which alludes to sex acts.

Halle also questioned this aspect of the song in response to one fan who commented on what “slime” refers to, asking, “What does that mean?”
It remains unclear whether Drake obtained permission to use the photo of Halle or not, but the actress is not happy with his actions.
The rapper was recently involved in another cover art scandal with Vogue, which reportedly cost him a significant amount of money after they sued him.
While it is uncertain if Halle will pursue legal action, she has made it clear that she does not approve of Drake’s use of her image.
