Gunmen, believed to be bandits, have abducted the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government in Nasarawa State, Mr. Safiyanu Andaha, and others, including philanthropist Mr. Adamu Umar (Maccido).
According to reports, the abduction occurred on the Andaha-Akwanga road on Monday evening.
The gunmen emerged from the bush and took the victims to an unknown destination.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Nasarawa State, DSP Rahman Nansel, could not be reached for comment.
