Ceremony Held at Governor’s Office
The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has officially signed into law the ₦1.054 trillion Appropriation Bill for the 2025 fiscal year. The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s Office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, attended by key figures including the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and other legislative and executive officials.
Major Developments on the Horizon
Following the signing, Governor Abiodun shared plans for significant economic projects, notably the advancement of the Olokola deep Sea Port. He announced that partnership agreements are expected to be signed in the upcoming months, aiming to revive and progress this crucial infrastructure project.
Focus on Infrastructure and Economic Growth
Governor Abiodun outlined a strategy to enhance the state’s infrastructure through new collaborations. He highlighted intentions to increase Memoranda of Understanding with private sector entities in renewable energy, agricultural development, especially in animal husbandry, and other growth sectors.

The governor emphasized ongoing efforts to improve educational environments and health services across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. He reiterated the state’s agricultural policy, “grow what you eat and eat what you grow,” with plans to intensify agricultural activities for both domestic and export markets.

Abiodun credited specific road projects like Ijebu-Ode-Epe, Sagamu-Abeokuta, and others for the increase in the state’s Internally Generated Revenue due to enhanced connectivity and increased business activities.
