Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State on Friday rekindled of citizens of impactful federal presence in the state.
Governor Alia assured that his efforts have started yielding results just as he said the federal government would soon commence rehabilitation of dilapidated roads in Benue State.
“The assurance is coming on the heels of recent approval for the general rehabilitation of some key federal roads across the Senatorial Districts in the state,” Governor Alia assured.

He disclosed that based on his request, the Federal Government has approved immediate commencement of the rehabilitations.
Governor Alia, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Tersoo Kula, listed roads slated for rehabilitation to include Gboko- Aliade, Yandev, and Gboko- lessel- Ihugh- Tse mker.
In the South Senatorial District, the Oju- Otukpo road is also slated for rehabilitation.
He assured the public that his boss is already in constant touch with the Federal Government for speedy completion of the Makurdi-Ugbema road, as well as the rehabilitation of some failed portions of the Katsina-Ala-Vandeikya-Ogoja federal road.
He further stated that apart from the ongoing construction of roads and streets within Makurdi metropolis and other parts, the Gboko, Otukpo and Katsina-Ala will soon receive similar attention to the rural dwellers to boost economy and accessibility.
The governor the solicited for the people’s support for the President Bola Tinubu-led government to provide dividend of democracy to the citizens.
