Tragedy has struck the Ghanaian football community once again as another young talent has passed away while playing in Europe.
Agyemang Diawusie, a former RB Leipzig star, died at the age of 25 in Germany due to natural causes, just a few weeks after the death of former Black Stars international Raphael Dwamena.
Diawusie, who was born in Berlin to Ghanaian parents, was a rising star in German football and had represented the European nation at youth levels.
He came through the ranks at Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and had also played for Dynamo Dresden, SpVgg Bayreuth, and Jahn Regensburg before his untimely passing.
This season, Diawusie was playing for Jahn Regensburg in the German third-tier league and had been performing exceptionally well, earning praise for his skills on the pitch.
However, his sudden demise has left the football community in shock and mourning.
Jahn Regensburg released an emotional statement expressing their profound sadness at the news of Diawusie’s death.
The club expressed their condolences to his family, relatives, close friends, and companions, and requested that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
Diawusie’s last appearance for Jahn Regensburg was on November 4, when he played in a Bundesliga 3 game against 1860 Munich.
His death is a huge loss to the football community, and his memory will be cherished by fans and teammates alike.
