Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has approved the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) as Christmas bonus for the State’s civil servants on the State payroll.

Hon. Commissioner, Information and Communications, said this in a statement.
He added that Gov. Fubara gave the approval on Tuesday for immediate implementation to enable the civil servants to have a wonderful yuletide celebration.

This will be the first time in a long while that civil servants in the state will be receiving Christmas bonuses, let alone to the tune of one hundred thousand naira, more than three times the value of the nation’s minimum wage.
Governor Fubara has consistently spoken about his desire to improve the welfare of civil servants and serve the interests of the low-income earners in the state.
