Rafiu Ibrahim, a former Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, has passed away.
He died early Wednesday following a short illness.
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed his deep shock and sorrow upon hearing the news of Ibrahim’s death, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Governor AbdulRazaq extended his deepest sympathies to the late senator’s family, the residents of Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area, and the PDP.
In a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, AbdulRazaq remarked that this sudden loss serves as a reminder of the inevitability of death for all and its unpredictable nature.
The governor offered prayers for Allah to grant the senator entrance to al-Jannah Firdaus and to provide solace to his bereaved family, political colleagues, and supporters.
Senator Ibrahim is scheduled to be interred at the Muslim cemetery in Ilorin later today (Wednesday).
