Biryani is an Indian cuisine that is savory, nutritious and delicious. The dish is believed to have orignated from the Mughal Empire now modern-day, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Although, the dish is commonly associated with the Indias, it’s widespread consumption in most South Asian countries and the world is awemazing!
To treat yourself to a delicious plate of homemade biryani you need the following;
Ingredients
Basmati Rice
Meat ( chicken or beef)
Herbs (garlic, ginger, turmeric)
Spices ( cinnamon, bay leaves, cloves, curry)
Melted butter/edible oil
Yoghurt (optional)
How To Prepare
1. Soak your basmati rice for 30 minutes.
2. Marinate your meat in yoghurt.
3. Cook your meat and infuse your spices.
3. Steam your already soaked rice for few minutes.
4. Steam-fry or roast your herbs for few minutes.
5. Finally mix the rice, herbs and spices and let your biryani simmer.
6. Layer your mixture with edible oil or melted butter and allow it steam for few minutes.
