The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed a fire outbreak at its Divisional Police Office in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The state police commissioner, Mr Usaini Gumel, disclosed that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, despite the prompt response by the State Fire Service.
An investigation has commenced to determine the cause of the fire, with the affected area cordoned off to prevent intrusion.
This marks the second fire incident at a police station in Kano State in 2024, following the earlier fire at the Kano Police Command headquarters in Bompai on January 13, which resulted in significant damage to various offices within the building.
