Kalu Aja, a respected financial analyst and educator, has declared that he will never return to Nigeria if the Dangote Refinery project fails.
In a recent post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Aja reflected on the Nigerian government’s handling of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, which he believes could have been saved in its early stages.
“Always used to wonder how the government of Nigeria watched Ajaokuta fail. It could have been salvaged in the initial stages,” Aja stated.

Drawing a parallel, he added, “Then I remembered Dangote Refinery. If Dangote Refinery fails, I will never set foot in Nigeria again.”
