Manchester City football club secured another trophy by dominantly winning the Club World Cup with a 4-0 win over Fluminense.
The match, which took place in Jeddah, saw City take just 45 seconds to take the lead when Julian Alvarez chested the ball home after Nathan Ake’s shot hit the post.
City continued to dominate and extended their lead in the 27th minute when Phil Foden’s cross forced an own goal from Fluminense defender Nino.
The young Englishman then capped off a brilliant individual display by tapping home a cross from the left to put City 3-0 up.
Later in the game, Alvarez added a fourth goal for City with a well-taken finish from the edge of the box.
However, the win was slightly marred by an injury scare for City midfielder Rodri, who was forced off the pitch in pain after a rough tackle by Fluminense substitute Alexsander.
This was the only downside for Pep Guardiola’s side, who won their 14th trophy under his management.
Despite the injury setback, City fans will be overjoyed with another trophy to add to their collection.
