President Bola Tinubu is currently behind closed doors with a delegation led by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, at the State House, Abuja.
Though the purpose of the meeting has not been made public, reports gathered that the participants will present a document containing key recommendations on suppressing farmer-herdsmen conflicts nationwide.
According to a source, the meeting which began at about 3:00 P.M. requires the presence of the service chiefs as its an issue bordering in national security.
Reports have it that the occurrence of farmers- herdsmen clash which dates back to 1999, have claimed over a thousand lives.
Though the conflict was known to be prevalent in the country’s North Central, Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas said, the clashes have ballooned into many West African countries.
