Famous rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the Bhad Guy, has opened up about his relationship with singer Simi. Despite sparking dating rumors in 2016 with the release of their joint EP titled ‘Chemistry,’ Falz clarified that their connection was purely musical.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Falz reminisced about how their professional relationship began. He recounted his first interaction with Simi after hearing her hit song ‘Jamb Question,’ which led to their first collaboration.
“I met Simi in 2013 or 2014. I reached out to her the first time I heard ‘Jamb Question’ to let her know I had written a verse for the remix that we hadn’t yet discussed,” Falz recalled. “We went on to do it, shot the video, and from then onwards, every other track was so natural. She’s family, we really clicked musically, and we just had to explore that. It was beautiful.”

Falz was recently featured in ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’ from Simi’s latest album, ‘Lost and Found.’ Despite the close professional relationship, Simi’s marriage to singer Adekunle Gold on January 9, 2019, put an end to the dating rumors. The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Falz’s revelations shed light on the genuine musical chemistry between him and Simi, which led to their successful collaborations, while clarifying that their relationship remained strictly professional.
