Arsenal bounced back from their previous defeat against Newcastle United and secured a well-deserved victory against a resilient Burnley side at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners now share the same number of points with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal had a tough time breaking down Burnley’s solid defence, but Leandro Trossard finally managed to score a scrappy goal on the brink of half-time, ending the visitors’ brave resistance.
However, Josh Brownhill’s deflected shot in the 54th minute brought the Clarets back into the game and levelled the score against the run of play.

The Gunners responded quickly as William Saliba headed in the hosts’ second goal, restoring their lead just three minutes and 39 seconds later.
The returning Oleksandr Zinchenko scored a spectacular third goal for Arsenal with just 16 minutes left on the clock.
Despite Fabio Vieira’s unnecessary red card, Arsenal held on for the win, which puts them in second place in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester City.
Arsenal now have the same number of points as their city rivals, Tottenham Hotspur and are ahead of them on goal difference. Burnley, on the other hand, remains in 19th place in the league table after this latest defeat.
