Tottenham Hotspur put an end to their five-game winless streak with a magnificent 4-1 victory over top-four contenders, Newcastle United, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The game saw Richarlison make his first start since October, and the Brazilian made an immediate impact by scoring two goals to help his side claim a much-needed win.
The opener came in the 18th minute when defender Destiny Udogie fired home a cross from the left wing, delivered by Heung-Min Son.
Richarlison then doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark by converting another Son cross from close range.

In the second half, Richarlison scored his second goal of the game, this time from a looping Pedro Porro pass.
Tottenham’s domination continued as Son was brought down by Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, leading to a penalty that Son himself converted to make it 4-0.
Despite Joelinton’s stoppage-time consolation goal, Newcastle was unable to make a comeback, and the game ended in a 4-1 victory for Tottenham.
The win keeps Spurs within touching distance of the top four, just three points behind, and puts them three points clear of sixth-placed Manchester United.
On the other hand, Newcastle is now seven points adrift of the fourth-placed team, sitting in seventh place.
