In an exciting match at Kenilworth Road, Burnley secured their first win of the Premier League season with a 2-1 victory over Luton, thanks to a late stunner from Jacob Bruun Larsen.
The substitute’s curling effort found the back of the net only 64 seconds after Elijah Adebayo’s strike had levelled the scoreline, silencing the home fans and earning Burnley a much-needed three points.
Burnley had taken the lead in the second half, courtesy of Lyle Foster’s clinical finish on his return to the starting lineup.
The young striker expertly slotted home from Sander Berge’s fine through-ball moments before the interval, giving Burnley a slender advantage going into the break.

However, Luton had the better of the chances throughout the game and could have opened the scoring themselves through Chiedozie Ogbone’s diving header.
Later in the match, Jacob Brown was denied on the line by Josh Cullen from a corner, which kept Burnley in the lead.
Despite their dominance, it looked as though Luton was going to have to settle for a point, until Adebayo’s equaliser from Reece Burke’s knockdown breathed new life into the match.
However, their joy was short-lived, as Bruun Larsen cut in from the right and unleashed a superb shot past a helpless Thomas Kaminski to finally end Burnley’s winless start to the league season.
Overall, it was an entertaining and hard-fought encounter, and Burnley will be relieved to have secured their first win of the season, while Luton will feel they deserved more from the game.
