The Founder and Chairman of Aba-based FC Ona-Pal, Engineer Obinna Peter Paul, has expressed confidence that the team is strong enough to fight for promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) in the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL).
Engineer Paul stated this in a recent interview with Completesports.com in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
He noted that determination, hard work, and support of the management are the key ingredients needed to propel the club towards greater heights.
The club owner re-echoed the projection of the Head Coach, Zachary Baraje that within two years, FC Ona-Pal would earn a continental competition berth.
“I am very optimistic that the team we are parading right now, at the end of the NNL season this time around, will be in the NPFL. I know that from there we will be in the continent.
“You saw it when the boys played. We have taken our time to build this team. We started from the Nationwide League One (NLO).
“From there we now see, that yes, we can do this. The boys are so eager to play in the NNL and the opportunity is here. So we are very optimistic,” Paul said.

He lauded the Abia State government and management of Enyimba International Football Club for the approval to use the Enyimba Stadium Aba for their home matches, describing this as a great development.
He further pledged that FC Ona-Pal will not disappoint Aba football fans.
The team quality, according to him, is top-notch, and they have worked hard to build the team from the ground up.
Paul believes that the boys are ready and eager to play in the NNL, and he is optimistic that they will make it to the NPFL and eventually to the continent.
