Ogun State police have confirmed the death of Yahaya Ibrahim, a steel worker who tragically lost his life in an industrial accident. The incident occurred early Sunday morning at the company’s factory located along the Sagamu-Ogijo Expressway.
According to the Ogun Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, Ibrahim was killed when he slipped and fell onto an engine roller. Despite immediate efforts by his colleagues to rescue him, the machine crushed him to death.

“Our men on traffic inspection visited the scene upon receiving a distress call. It was an industrial accident. The body has been deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) morgue in Sagamu,” Odutola confirmed.
The accident happened around 4:50 am while Ibrahim was working at the plant. The unfortunate event underscores the need for stringent safety measures in industrial workplaces to prevent such tragic incidents.
