The Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C) has announced that the maiden Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions will feature six bouts, with twelve boxers taking centre stage on November 12th.
Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the President of NBB of C, shared this news during a press briefing held in Lagos on Monday.
The twelve boxers will participate in various weight categories, and the national cruiserweight challenge between Ambrose Godwin and Samuel Ebohen will be the main fight.
Dr. Ladipo expressed his joy at welcoming another boxing promoter to the growing list of boxing promoters in the country.
He also shared his pride in the achievements of NBB of C, reiterating their determination to take boxing to the next level.
Currently, there are 167 promoters in the country, and Dr. Ladipo emphasized that more are welcome to join the moving train.

Emeka Agba, the promoter of the event, expressed his confidence in the current NBB of C and his pride in being associated with them.
He stated that he was in the business of developing youth through boxing, and he wanted to provide opportunities for the youth to earn a good living and stay away from the streets.
Agba pointed out that this event would be the first of many, and he aimed to continually improve the quality of his events.
Boxing is Agba’s favourite sport, and he hopes to develop home-grown boxers who will one day contend for world boxing heavyweight bouts at the international level.
He called on all stakeholders and lovers of the sport to support his initiative, emphasizing that it was a sure way to take restive youths off the streets and provide them with a good source of income to take care of their families.
