The names of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai; former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Abubakar Danladi and Stella Okotete, a nominee from Delta State were missing from the 45, out of the 48 names sent by President Bola Tinubu for confirmation.
Following their approval by the upper legislative chamber, Senate President Godswill Akpabio had pronounced the confirmation of 45 ministerial nominees on Monday.
“For the avoidance of doubt, we have confirmed 45 out of 48 sent to us by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The others are still awaiting clearance,” Akpabio said after reeling out the confirmed nominees.
The Senate President revealed that El-Rufai and two others have not been cleared by security checks.
