All roads lead to Ekiti State as Bet9ja Foundation prepares to host a ground-breaking event, the Bet9ja Ekiti Triple Slam, also known as BETS.
The event promises to be a fusion of sports, dance, and music, showcasing the creativity and ingenuity of the people of Ekiti State.
According to Bayo Olanlege, the Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Athletics Sports Limited, the idea behind the sportainment show is to revive the age-old tradition of combining sports with entertainment.
BETS is also a platform designed to engage young people in Ekiti, aged 18 and above, positively and productively.
As the former Chairman of the Ekiti State Football Association, Olanlege believes that the Bet9ja Ekiti Triple Slam will positively impact both the sports and entertainment sectors in the state.
With numerous tertiary institutions and thousands of students bursting with energy, there is a need to provide them with a platform to showcase their talents and engage in positive activities.

“Ekiti has a lot of tertiary institutions hence thousands of students who are eager to entertain and be entertained. A higher percentage of the students in the tertiary institutions crave for a platform other than the usual night clubbing and sports competition that often carry a load full of pressure with it,” Olanlege said.
The Bet9ja Ekiti Triple Slam is an annual event that involves months of preparation for the participating packs.
Each pack is made up of four boys and four girls, a 3v3 basketball team, and a rapper.
Thus, each pack has a mix of 12 boys and girls.
