The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, 2024 as public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
This announcement was made by the Minister of interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, through a statement issued by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako
As Muslims celebrate the successful completion of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, the minister encourages everyone to embrace virtues such as kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). Let us continue fostering unity and working towards peace and oneness in our great nation.
