Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has dismissed the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, with immediate effect.
The Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, announced the decision and the subsequent appointment of Dr. Roland Igbinoba as Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects.
In a statement, Ogie directed Dr. Alli to hand over all government documents and resources to the most senior civil servant within the Ministry of Health, expressing gratitude for his service and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

Ogie emphasized the governor’s commitment to overcoming any obstacles that may impede optimal service delivery in the remaining four months of his administration. Dr. Igbinoba’s appointment is intended to accelerate the completion of developmental projects across the state.
