Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, an APC governorship aspirant in Edo State, tragically loss his 23-year-old son, Osazuwa Agbonayinma, who was fatally shot in Houston, Texas, USA.
Ehiozuma has withdrawn from the governorship race following the death of his son.
Agbonayinma cited his son’s death as the reason for suspending his political activities, stating he needs time to grieve and heal.
Despite withdrawing, he urged his supporters to unite behind the eventual APC flagbearer in the primary election. Agbonayinma emphasized the importance of a free, fair, and credible primary process.
With his withdrawal, 11 aspirants remain in contention for the APC governorship ticket in Edo State.
