A man identified as Marcel Udeh, has shot his teenage son dead over food at Eziama Lokpaukwu village in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
It was gathered that the man returned home and discovered that his son had eaten the remaining food in the pot without permission.
Enraged, the suspect dashed into his room, brought out a gun and opened fire on his son, killing him instantly.
Confirming the incident on Tuesday, Abia state police spokesperson, ASP Maureen Chinaka, said the suspect has been arrested.
“We got a report at Umunneochi Division, the suspect has been arrested. The matter has been transferred to the SCID for discreet investigation and will be
charged to court afterwards,” the PPRO said.
