DStv and GOtv customers in Nigeria have been informed to anticipate service disruptions from Sunday, May 5, to Tuesday, May 7, due to the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway construction project.
The announcement was made via an official post on their X handle on Friday, May 3, 2024.
The notice stated, “Our uplink facility will be affected by the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road construction project. Consequently, we are compelled to relocate.
“From Sunday, May 5, 2024, to Tuesday, May 7, 2024, our technical team will be diligently working to relocate and reduce disruptions during this period.
“We value your patience and understanding during this time and are committed to providing the quality service and support you expect from DStv and GOtv.”
Previously, it was reported that demolition for the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway began on Monday.

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has stated that the construction will last eight years and cost N15trn.
Additionally, a Competition and Consumer Protection (CCP) Tribunal has issued an interim order preventing Multichoice from increasing its DStv and GOtv subscription rates.
The order was issued after Ejiro Awaritoma, the counsel for the applicant Festus Onifade, filed an ex-parte motion.
The tribunal has ordered Multichoice to halt the planned price hike, pending the resolution of the motion on notice.
Consequently, all involved parties have been summoned to appear before the tribunal on May 7 at 10 am to address the motion on notice.
