The Department of State Services, DSS, on Thursday said Professor Cyril Ndifon is in its custody following request by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
CRUX NEWS recalls that Professor Cyril Ndifon, the erstwhile Dean of Faculty of Law of the University of Calabar, Cross River State is accused of alleged sex scandal.
The Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, in Abuja.
Afunanya said the professor had snubbed several invitations by the ICPC before his eventual arrest on Wednesday October 4 in Calabar following a Court Order.
“The commission had disclosed the refusal of Ndifon to honour its several invitations thus his eventual arrest in Calabar, Cross River State by its operatives on 4th October, 2023 based on a court order.
“This is to guide public understanding of the latest developments on the matter,” he said.
