The daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and founder of the Cuppy Foundation, DJ Cuppy shared her excitement on Instagram, noting that while she has DJ’d at the UNGA twice before, hosting the opening session at the 79th UNGA was the “coolest” achievement in her career.
“It is so wonderful to be here. It is actually my second time DJing at the United Nations so I must be doing something right…I’ve made some pretty lady moves in my career,” she remarked.

During her address, Cuppy highlighted her passion for education, revealing that at the age of 30, she has earned three degrees, including one from New York University (NYU). She also hinted at having completed her PhD thesis, reflecting her dedication to learning.
In addition to her musical and entrepreneurial ventures, DJ Cuppy has been featured twice on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, interned for Jay-Z, and appeared on MTV Cribs, but she emphasized that speaking at the UN was her most significant achievement to date.
Her role at the UNGA adds to her growing influence as a global ambassador for youth, education, and women’s empowerment.
