The fire near Pacific Palisades has consumed nearly 20,000 acres, while another in Altadena has scorched 13,700 acres. Despite some containment, the return of winds has sparked new fires, including one near Calabasas and Hidden Hills, threatening more upscale homes.

President Joe Biden has promised additional federal aid to tackle what he termed as potentially “the most devastating fire in California’s history.” However, the aerial firefighting has faced challenges, including a Super Scooper being grounded after a drone collision, prompting warnings from the Federal Aviation Authority.
