In a separate ruling, the Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a warrant for the arrest of the Chief of Staff to Rivers State Government House, Edison Ehie, over his alleged involvement in the burning of the State House of Assembly.
The court presided over by Justice Emeka Nwite also ordered the arrest of Jinjiri Bala, Happy Benedict, Progress Joseph, Adokiye Oyagiri, and Chibuike Peter also known as Rambo for alleged involvement in criminal activities.
Justice Nwite granted the order on Wednesday while delivering a ruling in an ex-parte application brought before him by the Inspector General of Police, IGP.
In the ex-parte application and contended by a Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Simon Lough, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, the six defendants were said to be at large.
The DCP alleged that the defendants were involved in conspiracy, arson, terrorism, attempted murder, and murder of a Superintendent of Police, SP Bako Agbashim, and five other police informants.
