A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has restrained the Department of State Services (DSS) and its agents from arresting two siblings of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele.
Justice E. Okpe, who is the court’s vacation judge, issued the restraining orders in two rulings on separate ex-parte motions filed by George Emefiele and Okanta Emefiele.

The judge held that the restraining order, made in respect of the two applicants, shall subsist pending the determination of the fundamental rights enforcement suits filed by George and Okanta.
Crux News recalls that the Federal Government on Tuesday sought permission of the Court to withdraw an earlier one-count charge of possessing illegal firearms levied against the suspended CBN governor.
In its place, the government approached a Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where it filed a fresh 20-count charge against the embattled CBN governor.
