Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso is set to visit Russia, marking his second trip to the country in less than a year.
This visit follows a recent stop by Russia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Sergei Lavrov, in the central African nation.
President Sassou Nguesso will engage in high-level discussions with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
The agenda for their meeting includes key topics such as economic collaboration, trade partnerships, energy initiatives, and security cooperation.
In July of the previous year, Sassou Nguesso attended the Russia-Africa Summit in Saint Petersburg, highlighting the strengthening relations between the two nations.
Brazzaville has emerged as one of Moscow’s most steadfast allies on the African continent, with Russian companies significantly involved in the Republic of Congo’s oil, mining, and military sectors.
