The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged Nigerians to report difficulties in cash withdrawals at ATMs and bank branches starting December 1, 2024.
In a statement issued today, the apex bank emphasized that serious actions will be taken against any financial institution found culpable.
“We remain committed to ensuring Nigerians have easy access to their funds and cash withdrawal services,” the CBN stated.
What to Do
Customers experiencing cash shortages or service failures are encouraged to:
- Report directly to the CBN via its official complaint channels.
- Provide details of the affected ATM or branch for swift resolution.
The CBN’s warning comes amid growing concerns over cash scarcity, ensuring banks uphold their obligations to the public.
