The parish priest of St. Michael’s Parish-in-Building, Umuekebi, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Eze has been kidnapped.
The Chancellor and Secretary of the Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Princewill Iwuanyanwu, in a letter dated December 1, said the priest was abducted on Thursday, November 30.
He said the priest was ordained on September 30, 2017.
The letter titled “Notification of kidnap and call for prayers” announced that the priest was kidnapped on his way to administer the Sacrament of the Sick (Sick Call) on a sick parishioner.
“I am directed to inform you that one of our priests, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Eze was kidnapped on the evening of Thursday, November 30, 2023.
“Rev. Fr. Kingsley Eze who was ordained on September 30, 2017 is the parish priest of St. Michael’s Parish-in-Building, Umuekebi, Isiala Mbano L.G.A., Imo State.
He was kidnapped while on his way to administer the Sacrament of the Sick (Sick Call) on a sick parishioner within his parish,” the letter read.
He further solicited for fervent prayers that the abducted priest may come back to safe and sound.
