Nigeria’s superstar Tobi Amusan has been cleared to compete in the 2023 World Championship, which kicks off in Budapest, Hungary.
Crux News recalls that Amusan was omitted from the Nigerian list following her suspension by the Athletic Integrity Unit ( AIU) after her failure to attend a doping test.
Amusan, who was suspended by the AIU for missing three consecutive tests, has been given the go ahead to represent Nigeria at the World Championship.
Amusan stunned the world in 2022 after she clinched the Women’s 100m hurdles final.
Amusan ran the fastest time ever in the hurdles at 12.12 seconds in the semi-final of the women’s 100m hurdles and in the final recorded a 12.06 seconds finish ahead of the Budapest 2023 contest where she is the woman to beat.
