The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the results for the 2024 WASSCE for School Candidates. Today, Monday, August 12, 2024, marks the official release of these results, which were taken by a total of 1,814,344 students from 22,229 secondary schools across the country.
Of the 1.8 million candidates, 902,328 (49.73%) were male, while 912,016 (50.27%) were female, reflecting a near-even gender distribution. The examination covered 76 subjects, consisting of 197 individual papers.

A significant number of secondary school teachers, approximately 30,000, were involved in supervising the exams, ensuring the integrity and smooth conduct of the process.
