The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has announced plans to commence the local manufacturing of vehicle spare parts in Nigeria. This strategic move is aimed at reducing dependency on imported components, boosting the nation’s automotive industry, and fostering economic growth.
The Director-General of NADDC revealed the initiative during a press briefing, highlighting its potential to create jobs, encourage technological advancements, and reduce the cost of vehicle repairs and maintenance for Nigerians.
“This marks a significant milestone for Nigeria’s automotive sector,” the DG said, noting that the project aligns with the government’s vision of industrializing the economy and promoting self-sufficiency.
