2025 Budget Focused on Economic and Infrastructure Growth
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has officially signed the 2025 appropriation bill amounting to N580 billion into law, following its approval by the Kebbi State House of Assembly. The budget, which has been named the “Budget of Economic and Infrastructural Consolidation,” aims to propel economic development and support the execution of significant capital projects throughout the upcoming fiscal year.
Reallocation of Funds for Education
A notable change in the budget involves the reallocation of funds, as explained by Acting Speaker Muhammad Samaila Bagudo. The parliament decided to shift resources from the contingency fund previously allocated for capital expenditures into the recurrent expenses category. This strategic move is specifically designed to secure funding for the salaries of 2,000 newly recruited teachers in the state for 2025.

Upon signing the budget, Governor Idris commended the State House of Assembly for the swift passage of the bill.
