The Kano State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has penalized the Ganduje Ward Leaders for suspending the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The APC’s Kano State Chairman, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, revealed to the press in Kano on Monday that the Ganduje Ward leaders are suspended for six months due to anti-party activities.
Abbas stated that the State Working Committee imposed the suspension after endorsing the decision of the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Committee.
“We possess proof of meetings between state government officials and those who suspended the National Chairman, and the state working committee has concurred to their suspension for six months,” he declared.
Earlier that day, the Ganduje Ward leaders in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area had announced Dr. Ganduje’s suspension over allegations of corruption.

In the state capital, the ward’s legal adviser, Haladu Gwanjo, addressed journalists, stating that the ward has accused the former Governor of gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his tenure.
Gwanjo disclosed that the ward members agreed to suspend Ganduje’s membership following a vote of no confidence, which was based on his alleged failure to exonerate himself from numerous corruption allegations, especially the infamous dollar video.
However, the State Working Committee declared the suspension invalid, null, void, and therefore, unenforceable.
