Embattled Governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike are currently in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Both personalities were attracted to the Villa for the National Police Council meeting currently being presided over by President Bola Tinubu.
It is not clear whether the meeting which has several governors in attendance will find a way of mending the entranged relationship between Governor Fubara, and his predecessor, Wike.
Other state governors sighted and headed to attend the close door event are Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Bassey Ottu (Cross River) and ABDULLAHI Abba (Kano).
Before they went into a closed door, Wike shake hands and briefly exchange pleasantries with Governor Fubara.
CRUX NEWS reports that the crisis between Fubara and Wike is said to have led to moves by 24 out of 32 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Fubara.
Following the impeachment plot on Monday morning, the governor’s loyalists stormed the Assembly complex to protest against the move.
