A minor fire broke out on the Lagos Blue Line track near NEPA Station, opposite the Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State, on Saturday at 4:12 p.m., as reported by Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. According to Akosile’s post on X.com (@gboyegakosile), no casualties were recorded, and no train was in operation during the incident.
First responders, including safety and emergency personnel, quickly arrived on the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. “Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control,” Akosile reassured.
